For two days in downtown Mount Airy people come from all over the region to celebrate the end of the agriculture season in a variety of ways. Mayberry Farm Fest kicks off with a tractor parade along Main Street on Friday afternoon but the actual festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. You can witness canning and baking contests, the chili cook-off, the corn hole tournament, listen to some great live music and take the kids by the petting zoo.
